So i don't think creating new maps like recreating the old Doom and Doom 2 will be impossible. You choose the room, the size, the demons, the items placement. I mean, if it were a seperate tool then yes, but as an in-game editor? I think you're being a bit too positive there. I seriously doubt the map editor is THAT extensive.
So it's just a matter of time before we see a mod or the campaign with co-op. Maybe you can load all the campaign map in snapmap and add co-op in it pretty easily by changing a couple of stuff and voila.
