It took a very long (about 5 minutes) to start RA on that PC. I think it's not difficult for you to guess which version of RA I played in 96-97. You may know or not, there are 2 versions of the C&C:Red Alert available for PC: one for DOS with a lower screen resolution (320x200, also known as VGA) for low spec PCs, and second for Windows 95 with higher resolution (640x400) for modern PCs (information is relevant at the date of release).
